Thanks to everyone who participated in Saturday's photography basics workshop. I really enjoyed seeing the "light bulbs" turn on over my students' heads.
In case you missed it, we will be doing our next photography basics workshop on Saturday February 26, 2011. Click here for the details.
Here are some photo highlights. First, meet some of the students!
Meet Lance from Brooklyn, NY.

And his lovely wife Dorli!

Here's Jennifer...

That's Filomena... seems like everyone was hiding behind their camera. I'm helping Jessica in the background.

Here's Lindsay with her "antenna" lens grip technique.

As you can see from the photos above, there were a lot of hands-on learning opportunities. Check out the students in action.
Here's Lance doing a lab on sensitivity. He doesn't look very sensitive to me. Maybe because I'm drinking coffee while he does his lab.

This photo shows Teresa trying out an exercise on depth of field. I'm helping Jennifer with the same exercise.

This lab was all about using exposure compensation to properly expose your subject... especially with a snowy background.

Now for some examples of what everybody learned!
Another depth of field lesson learned...

Here are some results from the composition hands-on lab...

After:

Heres one from the lab on composition... or was that the one of focusing?

Another composition lab result.

Motion blur in action in the shutter speed lab...

I hope to see you at the next workshop on February 26, 2011. Click here for more info.
