One of the Farmington Valley's rich heritage sites is the Stanley-Whitman House Museum in Farmington, CT. I have been working with the museum for about a year now and have really enjoyed learning about the humble beginnings of such a great Central Connecticut town.
A few months back I was asked to participate in a month-long art exhibit at the museum's gallery space and jumped at the chance. The theme? "June Romance: Photographs of Matthew J. Wagner".

As it turns out, the Stanley-Whitman House was home to several newlyweds throughout it's multi-century history. The photographs in the exhibit feature love and romance not just at weddings or between engaged couples, but also love between various family members.
The exhibit can be viewed throughout the month of June and I will be present for a special gallery "opening" night this coming Monday, June 14, 2010 from 5 - 7. Light refreshments will be served and all are invited.
You can RSVP via Facebook either here or here.
The Stanley-Whitman House is located at 37 High Street, Farmington, CT. The gallery will also be available for viewing during the museum's normal hours which are Wednesday - Friday from 9am to 4pm, Saturday & Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.
Hope to see you there! Enjoy the photographs!
:)
